Thursday, October 7, 2004 - Did I Say Housing Was Ridiculous?
I meant insane. Check out this article I found regarding extreme low-end housing in HK. It's scary. With all the government regulation of the housing market, you'd think they'd do something about this.
I also read in another article that the average size (in usable space) of a new HK flat is 370 sq. ft. O--M--G--.

Yikes!!!!!!!
We live in a 900 sq ft apartment which is just cozy enough. I couldn't imagine going smaller.
I can't imagine living in what is essentially a kennel for people. I know that what we would be able to afford over in HK would be a 1000-1300 sq. ft. flat (depending on location, amenities, etc.) That's a little smaller than we are used to, but not bad.
I heard from my mom that my cousin with her husband and 1-year-old have just purchased a 3500 sq. ft. house. I have NO IDEA what I would do with that kind of space. (I also don't know how they afford it, but that's not my concern...)
Ah the joys of finding somewhere to live! Honest, it is allllll worth it!
