Tuesday, December 14, 2004 - My Baby's Not A Baby Anymore

You're smart readers. You already know that Rascal turned 5 on Saturday. Oh, my little boy is getting so big! It seems like just yesterday he was a tiny baby. How quickly the time goes...

On his birthday proper we kept things low-key. His grandmother and great-grandmother stopped by for a short visit. Ironwolf gave Rascal a little build-it-yourself Home Depot wooden workbench, and they spent much of the day putting it together. Rascal was very proud of it when it was finished.

Also during the afternoon he and I baked a birthday cake for him, which he decorated in typical Rascal fashion - which pretty much consists of taking every little bottle of colored sugar and other decorative bits and dumping them all over the cake. (hee hee)

I asked him what he wanted for his birthday dinner. After much serious contemplation, the response was "eggs". Eggs? Well...okay, if that's what you want...
