Wednesday, September 29, 2004 - Family Funnies

Two humorous stories to relate:

1. We are at the dinner table, and Rascal pipes up: "I had a dream that I was chasing a dirty weenie!" Ironwolf is rather taken aback by this and asks Rascal to explain. I, on the other hand, am sitting there stifling giggles. Rascal gets flustered, and I finally have to explain to Ironwolf that he is talking about the dog Weenie (who is shaped like a hot dog, complete with bun) on the children's tv show Oswald.

2. Following dinner, Ironwolf is still at the table reading, and idly sings a Campbell's Soup ditty to himself.

Rascal: "Daddy, you don't put candles in soup! That's silly!"
Ironwolf: "No, I didn't say 'candles', I said Campbell's. It's a kind of soup."
Zipper: "Camels?"
Ironwolf(chuckling):"No, not camels!"
Me(laughing):"Maybe it's cannibals' soup!"
Ironwolf:"Stop that!"
