The world at large doesn't need to know my children's identity. I already spill enough details about my personal life that I could undoubtedly be tracked down in real life should someone go through a large amount of effort to put the pieces together. I don't need someone hunting my kids. It's just typical motherly paranoia, that's all.
As for the pseudonym "Zipper", that's simply because he runs, runs, runs all the time!
